Tea Time

This dear lady and her husband have blessed our socks off in this last year . . . from opening their hearts and homes to our family, to many late night conversations, encouragement, and just loving on our family. PERIOD. Donna and I share a lot of the same LOVES (Biblical counseling, Titus 2 Ministry, Soaking grains ;) Cabbage soup, BREAD, crafts etc.), and are both artsy fartsy :) We got to enjoy Every Husbands Nightmare craft Bazaar in the fall, and we both took our time in each booth ooing and awwing over things, and scheming how we could make our own . . . to discussing dreams of opening OUR own craft shop :) The Lord sent her and her husband Craig into our lives at such an amazing period of our lives, having experienced some of the same situations that we face (IE. having a blended family), and are so gentle, joyful, and have set such an example of grace, maturity, charity, and wisdom that we hope to emulate. I thank you Lord, for sending along such treasured friends, family really - in Your perfect timing.

Donna came over and hosted the girls first ever tea. We had aspired going to the Heathman in downtown Portland for their VERY big-to-do Christmas tea, but we just couldn't do it this year, so Mrs. Lawless brought it to us. It's been a week, and the girls make her thank you cards every day, and talk about their tea . . . every day. So, Thank you Mrs. "Wallace" for loving on us. We are so very thankful for you!

The balloons and banner are actually from Maddie's birthday celebration - I am leaving them up - since Lili's birthday is around the corner. Birthday month! Time to PARTAY!

On the menu:
Delectable Huckleberry tea straight from Idaho
Dreamy Red Velvet cake from Costco
Lorna Doon shortbread cookies
Melt in your mouth Biscotti
Manderin Orange slices

Donna hand-painted the girls tea-cups / saucers for Christmas - just their size :)
I have a ton of pictures to post, updates to write . . . this is it for tonight though - I need to try to get some sleep while I can - we just never know what the night has in store for us these days!

Thanks for stopping in!
